Joan is a Personal Trainer with a B.A. in Biology, a certification in WholyFit (a yoga-alternative and fitness trainer certification) she’s a member of IDEA Fitness and is currently studying to receive another certification with ISSA. She enjoys helping people reach their fitness goals by drawing from her personal experience of training with her college track team, several Hood-to-Coast runs, the Portland Marathon, mind-body exercise and general fitness training to maintain a healthy lifestyle. She started Align Fitness, LLC, in 2007 with a vision to bring balance and flexibility as well as strength training to help others achieve their ideals of fitness, health and wellness. She currently teaches a few Flexible Strength (yoga-style) group classes in the Beaverton area in addition to training individuals and small groups at Body Balance.
